Mi Leyenda Scholarship Program
The Mi Leyenda Scholarship Program is rooted in the resilience and determination of estudiantes resilientes students who have navigated adversity and are building a lasting legacy of achievement within their communities. This scholarship is designed to provide financial support to students pursuing a 2-year or 4-year accredited institution as they continue shaping their legacy beyond high school.
The Mi Leyenda Scholarship is a renewable $1,000 award for up to four years, applied toward the recipient’s post-secondary education. For the 2026–2027 academic year, one outstanding student will be selected to receive this award, with funds disbursed prior to the start of each fall semester. Renewal and disbursement of each annual award is dependent upon the scholar’s completion of required program components and continued participation in the Mi Leyenda Scholar program.
As a Mi Leyenda Scholar, you will join a growing network of support. This network extends beyond financial assistance to include mentorship, access to resources, and networking opportunities. It is designed to provide guidance, connection, and encouragement throughout your college journey, as reflected in our Leyenda Scholar Impact Model.
Through this model, our goal as a scholarship program is to ensure that each Leyenda Scholar is supported as they navigate higher education. As a first-generation college student, you may encounter unique challenges in accessing resources, building networks, and adjusting to college life. We are committed to walking alongside you as you pursue your goals.
