A story has many chapters, yet for some students, certain chapters never get written. In an effort to help these students continue to write their story, Mi Leyenda Foundation has created the Mi Leyenda Scholarship.
Inspired from helping estudiantes resilientes, resilient students who through their academic achievement have begun to leave a legacy in their communities, the Mi Leyenda Scholarship aims to help alleviate the financial burden of pursuing a post-secondary education but also to enable a student to continue to write their legacy through their success after high school.
The scholarship, funded from the proceeds of the Mamba Memorial 3v3 Slam, and generous donations, will be awarded to a graduate of a Colorado High School who plans to pursue a post-secondary education.
Students awarded the Mi Leyenda Scholarship will have demonstrated values that align with the foundation's three pillars:
1. Academic Achievement
2. Resiliencia
3. Legacy
The Mi Leyenda Scholarship is a one-time , non-renewable, $1,000 award which can be applied towards a student's post secondary education.
