Mi Leyenda 3-Point Challenge

For the first time at the Mamba Memorial 3v3 Slam, Mi Leyenda Foundation will host the Mi Leyenda 3-Point Challenge.

Whereas the Mamba Memorial 3v3 Slam focuses on the team aspect, the Mi Leyenda 3-point Challenge takes inspiration from a traditional 3-point competition to crown the best shooter of the tournament. 100% of the proceeds from the challenge will go to the Mi Leyenda Scholarship. 

The 3-Point Challenge will be held prior to the 3v3 tournament on the same day and will allow individuals to be able to compete for the grand prize.

The Grand Prize is $100 Gift Card from local sneaker and vintage store, Saint Sneakers & Vintage in Boulder, CO!

3-Point Challenge Rules

- Each participant will have to pay an entry fee of $20.

-There will be an opening-round of participants with the 2 overall best scores from the opening round competing in a final round for the grand prize.

-If there are any tie scores with the two overall top scores, all participants with that score will move on to the final round.

-In the final round, the best overall score in that round will be the winner. 

-If there is a tie in the final, we will move into a shot for shot sudden death round that will be 5 shots total, 1 at each spot and the finalists shooting one right after another with the best out of 5 shots being the winner.

-There will be a total of (15) 3-point attempts taken at 5 different spots:

(3) Left Corner 

(3) Left Wing

(3) Straight on 

(3) Right Wing 

(3) Right Corner

- Each attempt made will count for 1 point towards the score 

- Money spot: Each participant will be able to choose (1) money spot prior to the start which means, of the 5 spots, the one chosen will be worth 2 points per shot made.

- There will be no rack for the basketballs on each spot like in the pros, and thus will have up to 2 basketballs in play. 

-Participants will be responsible to bring up to (2) of their own rebounders. 

Participants must have fully paid, registered, and filled out the waiver release form to play .
